One day and counting.....

I am happy to say all gifts are purchased, wrapped and hidden away.  Each year we always do things a little different and this year we decided to wait to put everything out on Christmas Eve.  Yes it is driving the kids crazy that they cant shake and make numerous guesses on what the received but the fun of seeing their faces on Christmas morning when they get the shock of seeing all their gifts at once will be priceless.
I will say last year was enjoyable when we wrapped each of our kids presents in a different wrap but didn't put names on any of them.  They didn't know which wrap theirs were in.  So each day they would be shaking gifts and believe they knew for sure that they were the snowman wrap only to shake the next one and lose faith in their decision.  Its our little bit of fun each year!
Well I must say even though I thought I had an extra week before Christmas and we were also plagued with a not so fun stomach bug in our house everything came together perfectly. Now we wait for the highly anticipated visit from Santa and fun times with family and friends.
This week I want to pass along a great Christmas party idea that helps create a kid friendly bar that even the adults will enjoy. As a spin off from the bar idea I have a fun way to guide your guests to their place settings and give everyone a cute little take home gift as well. Finally a recipe that is so versatile you can make it as a quick week night meal or for a party serving 20 or more people. Its easy, delicious and my all time favorite!
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
